Applicants must provide at least two examples of technical writing. The documents must be in English and you must be the sole author. Each example can be for any technical subject, 应该至少一页的长度, and should be recent (written within the past 2 years).

 Although the general structure of a student’s selection of courses for the M.S. 学位 will be adapted to the student’s area of interest, every candidate must include in the selection at least five (5) of the following courses, which then constitutes the core curriculum for the M.S. in Petroleum 工程: PET 5010 (Advanced 钻井), PET 5020(生产操作设计), PET 5030(地面生产作业), PET 5050(压力瞬态测试), PET 5110(油藏模拟方法), PET 5210(状态方程), and PET 5440 (Advanced Enhanced Oil Recovery). 

In addition, students are required to take the following seminar courses: TC 5150 (Graduate Writing Seminar) or TC 5160 (Technical Writing & 出版), ENGR 5940 (Petroleum 工程 Seminar), which will be taken twice.
